Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) has started selling its new smartphone namely, MTS 945 GLONASS in Russian market. It has many more outstanding features like 3.2-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 240 x 400 pixels, 2 megapixel camera, FM Radio, GPS-navigation facility etc. It is the first smartphone with GLONASS Russian positioning technology. The latest handset runs on Android 2.2 Froyo operating system and equipped with Bluetooth 2.1, and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g connectivity options. GLONASS is a Global navigation satellite system based on a grouping of Russian satellites.

The MTS 945 GLONASS Smartphone brings Li-ion 1500 mAh battery which provides up to 300 minutes of talk time and stand by time up to 250 hours. It has internal memory of 130 MB and supports up to 16GB expandable memory through micro SD memory card slot. It is designed for use in GSM 900/1800 MHz and UMTS 2100 MHz cellular networks and measures 109 x 56 x 14 mm with weight 130g. The MTS 945 GLONASS Smartphone is priced at 10,500 rubles with MTS’s tariff plan or 10,990 rubles without contract and manufactured by China’s ZTE corporation.
