
Samsung’s multimedia and gaming oriented RF series RF510and RF710 netobooks are now available in the US.
Amazon and Newegg have in stock the 15.6-inch Samsung RF510-S01 with the Intel Core i5-450M CPU and a 500GB hard drive, and RF510-S02 with Core i7-720QM with a 600GB HDD. The 17.3-inch RF710-S02 is on sale at TigerDirect and also has the i7-720QM and a 640GB HDD, but additionally features a Blu-ray combo drive, instead of a DVD burner.
All three notebooks come with the NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 1GB dedicated video card and 4GB of RAM.
The RF series laptops include new technology called Fast Start that enables a 3-second bootup, as well as HDMI outputs, webcams, and Bluetooth.
The Samsung RF510-S01 and RF510-S02 are cheaper at Newegg and cost $849.99 and $999.99, respectively. The RF710-S02 is priced at $1,099.99 (TigerDirect).
