
Google has released a very welcoming update to the firmware Android 2.2 with Android 2.2.1 for Nexus One. Nexus One is a Google’s branded Android phone with stock firmware support. And it is the only android phone which receives updates before any other Android phones have. Now the new update for Nexus One is being rolling out and available for download. Although there is no details has come to known about the new features but we guess, it has some minor update been made to Android 2.2.1.
So if you are Nexus One user and running Android 2.2 (build FRF91) version and want to upgrade your firmware to Android 2.2.1 then follow below guidelines to manually update your Android 2.2.1 on Nexus One.
How to Manually Update Android 2.2.1 on Nexus One
Download Android 2.2.1 (Official Update)
Copy this zip file directly to your microSD card on the root directory and rename it to update.zip
Now put your Nexus One to recovery mode by holding trackball and the power button simultaneously
You’ll be booted into a white screen with three Android robots on skateboards. Select “Bootloader”
Now on the next screen select “Recovery”
Now Nexus One phone will reboot, Now press the power button and volume up button at the same time, It could take a couple of tries
Now using the trackball choose “Apply sdcard:update.zip” and let things run their course
Well, when you can see “Install from sdcard complete”, then simply reboot your device
